We are meeting at the opening concert on August 22.
Every morning you get the work with one of the three festival atelier leaders (you will prepare a show with 100 hundred other participants - wow!)
In the afternoons you can attend the appetizer workshops by your choice (25 different one time workshops&lectures).
Every evening there will be various choir concerts in the city.
If you are coming with your own choir, you will definitely be giving at least one concert at the evenings!
If you're on your own, we got you!

Singing can benefit from supportive movement, formations and staging. Panda will show how a functional choireography can help dynamics, pitch and phrasing and how to really enjoy motion while singing.

This workshop is all about energy and expression.
We will dig into exciting songs by Nordic soul, pop and r’n’b artists such as Tove Lo, Sigrid, Oh Land, and more & will explore many different facets of our voices in these arrangements inspired by Danish choir tradition + fun voice exercises and vocal improvisation.

This project, run by Emily May 't Hoen and Annemarie Homan (conductor), offers individual singers who come to VoiceUP Festival 2023 without their choir or vocal group, the opportunity to sing and perform at the festival and to make new singing friends along the way. Any experienced singer can join, as long as you:
– are able to learn your parts at home
– possess a ticket to the festival
– are coming on your own or with only part of your group
You will be provided with the sheet music to prepare your parts at home. We'll have just two rehearsals and one stunning performance on one of the festival stages. You will certainly impress your vocal friends around the world and you will be part of the ever growing international Single Singers community!

* All festival participants has to attend the big festival ateliers on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday mornings and take the stage at the closing concert on Saturday evening with a great festival atelier choir of 150 people.
Everyone who comes with their own choir will give their own concert in the evening concerts.
And participants can attend any number of appetizer workshops, open singings and parties in the afternoon if they wish!
